THANK YOU
There are so many people that deserve thanks after such a fabulous Festival weekend! It would be wrong for us not to acknowledge our Lord Jesus first of all! He is our inspiration, and our focus when we are planning this event. We are thankful and want to give Him praise for blessing us with beautiful weather, safety, and the gift of nature and the outdoors that we were able to enjoy this weekend. We praise you God!
As a committee we would like to thank all our sponsors, who make our Summer Festival possible. Thank you to those who generously donate prizes to our Silent Auction – helping to raise money for Operation Christmas Child. Thanks to Angeline Martins who represent OCC for us this year – and did a great job! A huge thank you to everyone who provided food throughout the weekend. Thank you to our vendors. Thank you to those who set up, helped clean up, and just in general offered or volunteered to get involved. We cannot have a Festival without help! Thank you to Archangel Fireworks for the best fireworks show in Manitoba! Thanks to our bands for their practice and hard work, and for the amazing entertainment!
Thank you to Tracy Dueck, who puts her heart and soul into planning this Festival weekend. Despite health problems, she never once slowed down or gave up. She remained dedicated to the success of the Festival amidst her discomfort – and for that we applaud you! We love you Tracy!
Thank you to the community of Rosenort! Let us continue to have pride in our home town, and keep this Festival alive for generations to come! Thank you for supporting and encouraging us. Thank you for joining us this weekend, and for giving us the pleasure of blessing you with a fun-filled weekend. We hope you created memories, laughed, and bonded with one another.
God bless you all – and we’ll see you next year!
News of our donation to OCC will follow…

Outdoor Movie Winners!
It was a tight race this year! However, somebody must have wanted a certain movie pretty badly because just like that, the last place movie shot into first place!
Our first feature of the night is…
RIO
followed by…
THE LINCOLN LAWYER
Parental discretion is advised for our second feature, due to the mature content, and some language. We recommend that children 14 and under be accompanied by their parents.
Support Our Volunteer Firemen
These guys don’t get paid to put their lives on the line for us when we’re in trouble – they’ve simply chosen to do it to support our community. Why don’t you all come out and show them how much you appreciate their service by dunking them in freezing cold water! The Fire Department is raising funds to purchase some “Jaws of Life”. This investment could save YOUR life or someone you love, so come out to the Festival and dunk a local hero!

Lock the Kitchen ‘Cause…
…there is no need to cook this weekend! Between the Friday fundraiser BBQ chicken supper catered by the Grads of 2012, the FREE Saturday RCU pancake breakfast, the canteen selling yummy empanadas, all the snack vendors, RFC Youth fundraiser Mexican supper on Saturday during the Show ‘n Shine and the FREE Sunday lunch…no one needs to worry about cooking! Just make sure you keep an eye on the Festival schedule to make sure you don’t miss out on any of the meal times.
Local Talent
We are excited to offer up some of our very own Rosenort-grown musical talent at the Rosenort Summer Festival this year! Many of you have been blessed by the singing talents of Stefan Kornelson and Trishia Kroeker. Now you can hear the best of both voices as they put their show on our stage as “Hometown Advantage”. Their band consists of other local talent as well, from Joe Rempel, Joe Siemens, Brock Cornelson, and Ross Klassen.

Following “Hometown Advantage” we will have “Uncle Jake’s Rock Band” perform for us. This well-seasoned band also has ties to Rosenort through their drummer, Jared Hildebrand. He is married to Sherrilynn (Dueck) Hildebrand.
Don’t forget to vote for the second feature
You can now VOTE for the second feature. Parental discretion is advised on the second showing
